The brief was measurable: water quality, environmental management, safety and services. Design had to make those standards feel like hospitality rather than regulation.
A wooden promenade runs from street to sea with bamboo seating and umbrellas, ramps give barrier-free access to the sand, and every service — waste, signage, lifeguard, play — is given a designed shelter instead of an afterthought.
