The house is read from the street at night, so the elevation is designed as light before it is designed as mass. Slender stone piers are grooved to catch a concealed line of warm light, and the shadow between them does the rest of the work.
Behind the frontage, a full-height portal draws the eye into the entrance hall. Planting spills from every balcony, softening the order of the facade and giving each floor its own horizon.
